I am glad that I found a place where I can get this I tried Strathmore smooth newsprint its not as good as Seth cole. I tried this newsprint when I lived in California and I was hooked. I looked on Amazon but the seller seemed sketchy then I found Dew drafting supplies and I ordered and I got it at a reasonable amount of time. I will definitely order more in the future. As far as the paper it is smooth and I love both 18 x 24 and 12 x 18. The only downside which is slight if your tearing off a page be careful the paper is brittle and you will rip your page.
I needed a smooth news print for quick sketching and the Seth Cole smooth news print fit the bill. I’m taking an anatomy class where we do approximately 25 quick sketches a class. So having an inexpensive nut quality newsprint is very helpful. Plus having a smooth newsprint compared to a regular newsprint really facilitates quick sketching. Great product!
This is my favorite newsprint for drawing, I really love it, and I appreciate the variety of sizes they offer. I wish the 14 x 17” size came in proper loose-leaf packages. In the past when I ordered both the pads and the packages of individual sheets (in a different size), the unbound sheets were noticeably “fresher” and whiter than those that were in pads. I thought that option was available for the 14 x 17”, but in my most recent order, it was all pads with the more aged sheets.
It's hard to find smooth newsprint pads, especially in sizes smaller than 18x24. I had never heard of Dew nor was I able to inspect the paper before purchasing. The package arrived within a few days (I'm on the West Coast) with the products I ordered. The newsprint is good quality. I use smooth newsprint for charcoal pencil and Conté sketches, and it's suitable for those purposes.
Thank you for a wonderful, quick transaction ..You are the only place, selling smooth news print !!!
