This is way better than using a single-edged razor directly. Also much more convenient for stropping the blade which you should check out if you use these much. No need to throw out a blade when it loses its initial "razor" sharpness and no need to work with a blade that's not sharper than new.



Anyway, this is a great little device, holds the blade firmly, holds the blade backward for safety when you're not using it, and gives you more leverage and confidence when using the blade, especially for scraping. Will also hold a plastic blade, very handy for getting labels off, just needs a bit of a firmer squeeze to lock it in. Very clever mechanism, all one piece, no screws to lose. Plenty durable enough for many, many blade changes.



Definitely get more than one. I got three but I wish I got five :)
