Vyco cover will self-repair only if you do not cut deeply. Be sure your cuts are very shallow -- otherwise your blade will easily cut this cover clean thru to the board. I learned it the hard way. The instruction sheet does not clearly state this precaution but it should.

It is delightful to be able to get some products that fit a more pre-digital age, such as drafting vinyl.
