<p>The only improvement would be if it had a backing that would allow it to be used in the lap; the wire and spring assembly should have a cover so they don't scrape or cut clothing.</p>

This parallel glider ruler is a must have for any architectural office. It's been used in our office for drafting/sketching for decades.

The 10 inch Alvin Professional Parallel Glider number 295 is a great tool to have in the drafting tool box. The ruler feels good, rolls great, and is made well.

Tiller rolls great, it needs measuring marks on the roller to gauge where to save your lines with correct spacing.
