great value for the price. not as nice as my old Mayline Mobile. plastic rollers instead of metal are very rough gliding

Received my Paraliner in perfect condition, but even though it was sealed from the factory, it was missing a screw. The crew at DEW sent me a replacement immediately, and everything works perfectly. Love it!

Alvin Para-liner Deluxe Parallel Straightedge, the best out there, Period!

I bought this parallel straightedge in June. Today I was finally able to get a good tabletop board prepared and was ready to mount the tool to the board. What a disappointment to find that the hardware kit that came with this tool is junk. The pieces are plastic, and badly tooled. Specifically, parts G and H in the hardware kit - the clinch stud and the rear adjustment knob - and part E, the right rear connector, do not fit together properly. The hole in the cheap plastic part E that G and H are supposed to fit into is too small - the depth is too shallow, so the clinch stud does not seat in the hole properly. Thus the connector cannot be tightened securely to the board. So this $215 tool is currently unusable, and I will have to find a better hardware kit for this brand new tool just to use it, or make my own, which will cost me more time and money. Again, what a disappointment. I wanted this one because it's big enough for a 60 x 40" sheet. But without good hardware it's not worth much, is it?

Great product. Installed on my drafting table very easily, and works great. Life is so much better now.

<p>The Mayline EZ-Grip is not being produced anymore.</p> <p>It was a great parallel bar because it had well, an EZ _Grip bar which sat atop the bar. It had a good feel to it and easy to lift off the drawings. Both the Alvin and Mayline now available are missing that important element.</p>

A bit pricey but considering the precision needed, high quality product. The plastic attaching hardware I expect won't hold up if used a lot. Have old metal hardware to string to new edge

Professional parallel straightedge. Easy to install and it works exactly as I had hoped. Smooth operation and locks in place easily, great product.
