Description
The Safco PlanMaster Drafting Table gives you the height and drawing angle adjustment of a traditional drafting table at a more economical price. It is a practical choice for students, home offices, artists, designers, and light professional use where an adjustable work surface is needed without moving up to a heavier studio drafting table.
The PlanMaster base adjusts in height with a spring-assisted mechanism and the tabletop tilts up to 50 degrees for drafting, drawing, sketching, and plan review. The heavy-duty black steel base works with both 48" and 60" tops, giving customers a choice of workspace depending on the size of drawings or projects being used.
Important Ordering Information:
Others sell the PlanMaster table top and base separately, but Drafting Equipment Warehouse sells them together as a complete table set for easier ordering.
Unless otherwise noted, the price includes both the drafting top and base.
Some assembly is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Safco PlanMaster a true 4-post drafting table?
Not exactly. The PlanMaster is designed to provide many of the same benefits as a traditional 4-post drafting table, including height adjustment and a tilting work surface, but it uses a different steel base design. It is a more economical option for customers who want drafting table functionality without the cost of a larger professional 4-post table.
What is the difference between the Safco PlanMaster and the Mayline Ranger drafting table?
The PlanMaster is a more budget-friendly drafting table that offers height and angle adjustment with a spring-assisted mechanism. The Mayline Ranger is a heavier-duty professional drafting table with larger work surface options, more customization options, and a sturdier 4-post frame. Many schools and professional departments choose the Ranger for long-term heavy use, while the PlanMaster is often selected for home offices, students, and lighter commercial applications.
Does the price include both the tabletop and the base?
Yes. Safco sells the PlanMaster tabletop and base separately, but DEW combines them into complete table packages to simplify ordering. Unless otherwise noted, the price includes both the drafting top and the PlanMaster base.
Is the Safco PlanMaster a good drafting table for architecture students?
Yes. The PlanMaster can be a good choice for architecture, interior design, engineering, and drafting students who need an adjustable drawing surface without moving up to a larger professional studio drafting table. Students working with larger drawings may want to choose the 60" top for extra workspace.
