Best thing ever for someone who needs the convenience to design/draw outside of a drafting office setting...like "Drawing On The Go". Perfect for me.

5 Sleek, nifty, modern travel drafting table
Jericho Peters on Jun 21st 2018
Luv..the table is light and not clumsy heavy like some others I used. The slide is spot on with neat protractor built in. Was delighted to see it arrived neatly packed. The table is perfect for drawing, drafting, cartooning. The case it comes with is modern looking with handle and extra room to fit other drafting medium. Recommend highly.

4 Light weight, works well, carrying case not great
Michelle on Mar 6th 2018
The drafting board is light weight and easy to carry. I am a Kitchen and Bath Designer. I use it to measure the existing space in a client's home. The board is a bit more flexible than I anticipated when I have the feet hooked on. The ruler can be locked in place and slides well. I really like that the board can hold paper, so tape is not needed. The carrying case is a disappointment. That is the reason for the lower stars on the quality category. I expected it to be a hard plastic/vinyl. It is a corrugated cheap plastic material with hard plastic ends and handle. If this product is something you use at home for drawing, drafting, crafts, etc, the case is sufficient. If it is something you plan to bring places and move a lot, the case is not great quality. I have a bag large enough to hold the drafting board to carry around.

My boyfriend is estatic with your board. Other products we looked at were poorly constructed. The built in paper clip is ideal.

5 Artist

This is the best designed portable drawing board I have ever seen. I especially like the size, which is not too small, but allows for paper that is more than 8.5x11. Other excellent features are the rulers on three sides, the clamp for holding down the paper, the variable-height feet and the parallel rule that does not run on a wire like all the Maylines. I have been an artist/graphic artist for many decades, and if I were to have designed a portable drawing board, I would have designed this one. The lightweight carrying case is also excellent.

5 A true portable laptop drafting solution.
John at the Falls on Jun 18th 2017
I used this to develop boat designs in the early 90s. I lived aboard a 26 ft sailboat and space was at a premium. No way to use a T square in those tiny quarters but this worked wonderfully. I purchased the optional drafting head and found that to be a very worthwhile investment. I drafted on 11 X 17 inch tabloid size vellum using Alvin Reformograpgh inking pens. I pulled this out of the attic after sitting unused a quarter of a century, cleaned it up and started using it again to do design some airbrush masks that requires a bit of precision. Work not really suitable for my CAD work station. Of note; compared to reviving other legacy Drafting systems, I did not need to find a legacy Operating System computer or hunt down registration and license numbers. I did not have to connect to a cloud. I actually own this drafting system. This works fine sitting cross legged in bed with this in my lap. If I use it more often I will find a beanbag laptop board for it. This should not be compared to other drawing boards that label themselves as portable because those are larger and have fragile exposed wires and lack a carrying case to protect it all. These are available elsewhere without the corrugated carry box but not having the carry box defeats the whole purpose of the portable design. You want the box! It holds a tablet of paper along with drafting instruments and the drafting head. If there was a metric version of the drafting head, I would gladly purchase it as most of the maker community, even in the US use metric.

4 I used this for an environmental inspection business.
Jim Montgomery on Feb 4th 2016
<p>I was a building inspector too, but after the late 80's it became environmental. This little machine was just great for field work where I had to map out areas where there hazards or were covered with asbestos ceiling covering. I was often asked to draw diagrams of schools and businesses. I bought this in 1988 and I still have it. So it will hold up if you take halfway decent care of it. I drew a blueprint of a home addition and figured out to the last 2x4 how much matl. I needed. The one I have has a plastic corrugated case that has a pocket to hold templates and papers. The movement of the bar was and still is a bit herky jerky, just don't get in a hurry and it'll be fine. I can't believe I've owned this for 28 years, but I have and still use it occasionally when a friend needs a print of something. My son came to me to figure out how much material he needed for an addition he was building and saved a bunch of money when he told the contractor he would have all the materials needed in the print I gave him. The contractor loved him for it as it saved him time too. He was a good one so he was busy. I don't know what happened to it as I couldn't find it after my last move. I suspect my other son the carpenter has it. </p>

4 Creative drawing board set, Not just for Kids!
Allen W. on Nov 4th 2014
<p>I specifically went shopping for a 'student' type drafting set for use on the road & at worksites where changes & details had to be added to work prints on the spot. I looked at about 6 or 8 others, & this one won hands down. It's a very usable porta-board, no matter what your age or profession. It's slickly designed, easy to clean, surprisingly solid. Only minor issues have been a couple seam separations & feet falling off, both fixed easily with superglue. The included case will hold a supply of paper, some basic geo-tools & pens & pencils. For extended use, I suggest adding an 1/8" piece hardboard to the back with adjustable legs will make all the difference. It'll add a little needed weight for stability, & remove the flex from the plastic drawing face.</p>
