10" Professional Parallel Glider

I love this parallel glide. It glides nicely and feels solid and durable. I use it for hobby calligraphy and a friend suggested I get a parallel glider. I opted for the best and have not been disappointed. I’m also impressed with Dew Drafting Supplies. Easy order and fast shipping.

Got this parallel ruler to create guidelines for calligraphy. Great for quickly creating horizontal base and riser height and for angles for italic lettering

I've had an inferior rolling ruler for a few years and was frustrated each time I needed it because it doesn't roll straight so it basically defeated the purpose. I finally splurged and got the Alvin and it's like night and day. Plus it can help you draw circles and angles (who knew?). I'm very happy with it so far and look forward to using it on lettering projects for many years to come.

This is my second parallel glider of this model. Made in Poland, extremely high quality. The only downside is that the rubber rings on the wheel mechanism seem to dry out over time. Otherwise it is almost a perfect piece.

I got this for a drafting class, and it’s become my go-to tool for measuring. I purchased this one after reading tons of reviews for other rolling rulers saying that the roller often stuck. I’ve not had that problem with this one at all! It glides smoothly and grips the paper nicely. I do recommend cleaning the wheels regularly though to avoid smudging or getting residue on your drawing!

Was a bit skeptical, but this is a very handy lining and ruling tool - allowing me to make repeatable precise ruling and baselines for most projects. I really like the aluminum grip/roller section as it is far more stable than the plastic version of this I tried years ago and threw out for it's flimsiness causing it to not be as precise or repeatable.

This parallel glider ruler is a must have for any architectural office. It's been used in our office for drafting/sketching for decades.

There are several less expensive rolling rulers available and I have gone through 3 of them. This one however is made to last for a while. The clear "ruler" portion is thicker and rigid. The roller is metal and perfectly straight yielding accurately parallel lines when you need them. The right angle measurements at the corners are a bonus and a time saver.
