Drafting Paper & Drawing Media
The wrong surface fights your pencil, bleeds your ink, or falls apart the moment you erase. The right one disappears underneath the work. We’ve been thinking about that difference for a long time.
DEW built its reputation on technical drawing media. We know drafting vellum the way most suppliers know copy paper: the weight differences, the tooth, which grades hold up under technical pens versus lead, which rolls work with large format printers and which ones don’t. Brands like Clearprint and Dietzgen have been part of what we carry since the beginning, and our team has used this stuff on actual drawings, not just stocked it on a shelf.
Over the years we have expanded that same approach into drawing and illustration papers. Sketchbooks, bristol, charcoal and pastel paper, marker paper, mixed media. The selection has grown because the people who draw by hand, whether professionally or purely for the enjoyment of it, deserve a source that takes the material seriously.
What you will find in this category runs from highly technical to purely expressive. On the drafting side, that means vellum sheets and rolls, mylar drafting film, layout bond, graph and grid papers, and large format CAD and inkjet media for plotters.
