Description
Koh-i-Noor technical pens handle like a pencil, moving in all directions. Rapidograph technical pens have been used by artists, architects, designers, engineers and hobbyists for over 30 years to produce precise, consistent ink lines for any application!
Rapidograph pens are a superior grade technical pen that offers precise, uninterrupted line work for a number of applications.
Features:
- Achieve precise lines with an engraver's perfection, loose sketching style, or a finely detailed pointillist technique.
- Refillable ink reservoir and a color-coded cap and point.
- Air-tight double-seal cap keeps the stainless steel nib from drying out.
- Point sizes range from very fine to extra broad.
- Ink sold separately
- These pens work best on a smooth surface as textured surfaces may cause the finer nib sizes to skip.

4 not as good as Rotring Isograph
cartoonPenguin on Mar 5th 2025

Have a rotring isograph .35 so thought to try the koh-i-noor .3. It's definitely not as good as the isograph. There's more issues with ink flow - .3 shouldn't be as thin as it shows up sometimes compared to the .35 rotring. I'd be curious to try to .35 koh-i-noor for a more equal comparison, maybe .3 is just that thin.

Also compared to the rotring isograph this one seems to have more friction with paper. That's one thing where I don't think it's the mm since I've had smaller than .3mm rotring isographs move smother on the page.

5 Great pen with thinnest line I've seen
Jane on Oct 5th 2022
I got the Rapidograph refillable pen with a 6X0 nib. I usually use 0.03 and 0.05 pt which work fine but sometimes I just needed something even finer. This fits the bill. Very happy with this.

5 Always serviceable
P Kistel on Feb 16th 2021
I may be one of a minority in this practice, but I write ("journal") in notebooks with Rapidograph, using .35 and .50 cones exclusively. Through these many years, I have found these pens to be highly satisfactory for this somewhat Robert Walser-ish habit. For some reason, .35 cones can be available only off and on, when the time comes for a replacement. Therefore I was particularly pleased to discover them in stock at DEW. Shipment was entirely prompt and accurate, and pricing not unreasonable. Thank you for being there. You have become my new go-to source for this sometimes hard-to-find commodity.

I am very impressed with this company. The prices for technical pens and pen points are very good. The service has been excellent. There was a delay in receiving some of my last order do to COVID supply issues and DEW kept me informed as to why. Today, I only buy from DEW.

I have been using Koh-i-noor Rapidograph pens for 40+ years as my main art drawing tool. It's well made and lasts many years, with the proper care. i wouldn't trade these pens for all the disposable ones that are on the market today!

5 Koh-I-Nor Rapidograph Pens...can't get better than this!
SharonKuester on May 22nd 2017
I love my pens, have been ordering and using Koh-I-Nor Rapidograph Pens for all my artwork and I purchase them for each one of my students to use in class. They always come through for me, they are durable, easy to fill, easy to use, need I say more? I have tried all types of pens, but if you use India Ink recommended with the pens and certain types of canvas, any mistake you make is correctable!
