Straightedge Rewiring Kit

I have an older drawing board with a sliding straightedge. The wire was old and finally broke. I was happy to find a replacement. Although this wire is thicker than the original wire, it fit. Thanks! this give a second life to my drawing board. Thanks for sending a PDF of the installation instructions!

Since most drafting is done with a computer these days it was fine to find a company that sells old fashion drafting supplies. I live in Europe and there are no companies here that sell drafting supplies. It is a pity that DEW does not send to Europe. I had to have the product sent to my brother in the States and he then sent it to me. BUT I am so happy that I could get this set for my old parallel bar!

Wiring is too thin and is not coated. Does not glide well on roller wheels. Too fragile.

The wire I received was about half the diameter of my original wire that broke. It would have been nice if you could include directions for installing it. Fortunately I was able to find an old video on YouTube that showed how to install it. I got it installed and its working fine.

Couldn't be happier with the replacement cable. It arrived promptly and was easy to install. This sure was less expensive than upgrading my CAD software!

I have a table that belonged to my father-in law. He built it in the 1930s. He had the table set up with a wired straight edge but another member of my wife’s family destroyed it. I was able to set it as it was originally. I make furniture as a hobby and find the straight edge is great. I am very pleased. Great quality. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

I used this product to restring my drawing board with its parallel bar. I am doing a major remodeling on my 3-flat and need to make drawings that show the dimensions for the new kitchen cabinets. It has been over 30 years since I've used this board and with this product I'm able to use it again.

Easy to find on website quick and easy check out and super fast shipping. Instructions were not included to rewire the straight edge but, easy to find online. Just the right parts and back to drawing 30 minutes later

The product came to me very quickly but was very difficult to install owing to there being no instructions on installation. There probably very few differences between the various makers of straightedges, so it seems that it would have been easy for you to include some small manner of instructions.
